bios flash = win

seeing as i'm thinking on rebuilding my rig in the next couple of months i through i would flash my bios (i was too chicken to do it before

) and see if i can unlock the other cores and it worked a treat x4 3.7Ghz(200x18.5) 1.5volts max tem 60c :cool:

before flashing i was getting x2 3.8Ghz 1.52volts max tem 57c or x4 3.1Ghz 1.48volts (the second i start p95 it would crash)

now i just need to get some new tim and a side case fan then i can give the old girl a good clean out

the x2 550be is AM3 right? I had a AM2 x4 940be before I upgraded to my 2700k, could only get 3.5Ghz stable and needed 1.5v to get there.

yep she is a am3 i think the update has help it a lot

i just dropped the vcore to 1.49 and the temperture has gone down to 55c(half hour into p95), i have ordered some mx-2 and a Akasa 120mm fan so once they get here i will strip her down and move the cables about a bit (the last time i cleaned her was 3 years back lol)

after 3 hours on p95 the max tem was 57c

and i had a very nice surprise on heaven benchmark, was 717 now 1143
