Bios Gone?

Hi,

I was playing f1 rfactor last night! then all of a sudden it done that dump thing where it goes from 0% to 100% then restarts!
Anyways, i went into the bios, but there was no bios settings, they have gone lol.

What could be the reason for this. i clocked my Intel Core i5-3570K with 1.3v @4.5 (new chip from the other crappy one) stable using AIDA64.

My spec
Intel Core i5-3570K
Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 16GB
2x6950's

Right i got into windows and installed the f7 bios.
It now shows the bios. not sure why this happend? even if the overclock crashed, wouldn't of thought it would mess the bios up! unless the bios was unstable?. i was using the f9a beta bios.
When i went into the bios before, it would only show the logo at the top, but no bios settings..
Strange!
 
You can't not have a BIOS else it wouldn't have booted, what do you exactly mean by no settings? No options or just all blanked out?

It come up asking me to enter the bios, select default. so when i press enter bios, it just showed bios logo at the top, but just a blue screen with no bios setting,
sounds strange but thats what happend lol just wished i knew why?

it booted back into windows ok, but just not bios.
I see how it goes with the f7 bios!

Don't Gigabyte boards have Dual BIOS incase something like this happens? Might've been the backup BIOS that kicked in that allowed him to boot.

It's probably just machine got stuck in some weird state. A cold reboot should fix it.
