BIOS problem ?.

I have an old laptop running Vista and the BIOS will not keep the correct time.
I replaced the CMOS battery and still the same problem, I checked the CMOS battery with a multimeter and it read 3.35V, so just to be sure I tried another battery and got the same results.
Can anyone shed any light on this problem.

How far out of time does it go? Does it go back to the mobo issue date as you would see with a cmos battery issue?

No it does not go back to the mobo issue date, it varies how much time the BIOS clock looses, dependant on how long I leave it shut down.
