It has happened twice now where I power up my pc and I get a message saying ' Your main BIOS is corrupted and is being restored from the backup BIOS, After updating the system seems fine but I don't understand why this is happening.

No new hardware has been added or any other changes have been made.

it might help to have both bios chips with the same bios version on them,

I think you spam alt and f10 or f12 at splash screen and it will flash the backup bios with the main bios version so both are the same

The version is the sane on both I have never touched it but I don't understand why it's happening.

The is a BIOS update available a few days old but it is a beta is it worth trying that?

yeah you can try it,it usually does that if the two bios chips are running different versions

can also be down to a cold boot issue at startup, corrupting main bios

if latest beta bios doesn't cure it you can simply flash back to original bios, use qflash and usb stick to flash with

no it will just have the shipped bios on the backup and whatever your running/flashing to on the main

all it will tell you in the bios and easytune is whats on the main bios (but if backup kicked in like you said then you'll have whatever version flashed to main bios (so as of now both chips will have same bios)

I have updated the BIOS everything seems ok.

It mainly used to happen when I left my pc in sleep and then it would not turn on or resume.
