Hi all,
Some time ago my BIOS settings were reset after a crash. When i bought the machine the cpu came pre-overclocked to 3.0ghz. I remember this as when i bought the system i opted for a 4gb ram setup instead of 2gb. I am sure i was told the advertised overclock of 3.3ghz would therefore be reduced to 3.0ghz due to going for 4gb over 2gb ram.
Now my problem is after my BIOS reset i loaded the 'ocuk' profile in BIOS which set the FSB to 368 and the multiplyer to x9 giving a core speed of 3312.
Not knowing much at all about the details involved in overclocking (thou i am trying to learn) do my settings look 'correct' for the setup i have atm, even thou i'm sure the OC was limited to 3ghz?

I'm using an Abit IP35 Pro motherboard. Temps don't seem too bad atm 65 CPU on load, 55-60 PWM. I just seem to have a slightly less stable system than before with occasional hard freeze ups inc mouse or keyboard, which requires a physical reboot.
Like i said i'm a novice and just want to know if my OC settings look 'right' for my spec. I don't want to push the machine too hard or damage something by not using the correct settings. I presume i can't just reduce the multiplyer to x8 to get a near 3ghz core speed?
Thanks all
p.s let me know if i have missed anything out.
