Ok I'll start with basic system specs.

i7 920
GA-EX58-UD5
6GB G-Skill, 1600mhz, 9-9-9-24.
Nvidia GTX 260

Ok so my problem, everytime I restart my PC the BIOS resets and everything goes back to default, I go back into the BIOS and get the "your overclock failed etc". I've tried lots of different settings but it only seems to be happy on a completely default clock!

Now this problem only started to occur when I installed a PCI Express network card (Edimax EN-9260TX-E), before the card was installed I had no problem. I took card the out of the machine to test my theory and with the network card out it restarts and reboots without resorting to default, put it back in and same as before.

Could anyone shed some light on what could be causing the PCI Express card to do this?

Also there is a menu for the network card (pictured below), don't know if any of the options could cause this problem.

Thanks.

what slot are you putting the card into?

is it one of the 16X slots?

I've got the GFX card in the first slot (nearest to the CPU) and I've tried the network card in the other two PCI Express slots but the same outcome, just resets. :(

Bit of a daft question, do you havethe Ethernet cables plugged in when it does this, also are there any led showing with the system off.

Yep the Ethernet cable is plugged into the card and the system as far as I know shuts down, all the fans power down then all the mobo lights start flashing, starts and pops up with your overclock failed could be due to voltages etc at post.
