BIOS Reset

I've done a overclock and shut down my computer and few hours later, when I turned it on, the BIOS settings has been reset, how do I prevent this happening?

What board is it?

Just to cover all the bases did you save the oc then boot to windows and checked the over clock then shut it down. If the answer is yes and it just did not apply the oc the next time try and see what the date and time is when you are in the bios if it is a random date after being set. If the date is random then its is the battery is not working as intended and the guy above is right

Most boards have the ability to save profiles just save it so you know you have it

it might reset it from time to time with a beta bios

should be fine on latest final bios
