Bios setup help please

I've just built a new PC but need help optimising my bios for my new PC.

Can anyone help me out here? I eventually wanna so some minor overclocking.

Hi, well first off we need your spec so sort your sig, or post it.
How familiar are you with the bios ? What external equipment do you have connected to the pc ?

OK, I have nothing external plugged in at all.
I was familiar with the bios a few years ago but not now!

Woa, that's really old! I remember that mobo about 4-5 years ago!
a lot of those settings aren't relevent for my mobo!

I was looking for something more upto date but couldn't see anything. Problem for me is i'm an AMD user so am not up to speed on tweaking Intel.
Is there a specific area you have questions about ?
If you wantto overclock you should post a thread in the overclocking section, they will know how to set it up for maximum effect.

Yeah, basically I wanna overclock but I'm not sure which settings I should enable or disable without my mobo going into a fit.

I noticed I had to Disable Hyperpath 3 in the Chipset section of the bios for me to push the FSB...

You lost me at Disable Hyperpath 3. Not a clue mate. :confused:

Post a thread in the overclocking section. You will get more and better help there. Everyone seems to be going C2D and clocking them.

I don't know to what extent this will help, but here is the section of how to set up bios on another ASUS board documented on a Corsair System build report.
