bios update and profile

hi guys can anyone help ?
my rog asus maximus x hero keeps coming up with bios update ?
i see in the bios i have the ocuk profile in there do i need to save to either a usb stick or passport ?
and can i import it to the new updated bios ? dont want to do anything and mess it up ? thanks
currently on 505 and the new one is 1801 looks like been quite a few ?

I've not tried it with that board, but there's no guarantee that a saved profile will be compatible once the firmware is updated.

I would save it to USB anyway, but also make a note of the current settings. Taking photos of the various bios pages would be an easy option.

ok ill do that but if im right in theory the bios should update anyway and possibly leave profile ?

Do what bremen says to save the profile, once you update the bios all profiles will be lost.

Also. If this was a overclocked bundle, i would check with OCUK first in case it affects the guaranteed overclock.

It used to say something like update the bios and lose your warranty on the overclock
