Good afternoon,

I have a ASUS PRIME B760-PLUS D4 motherboard (CPU i5-1200, 32 GB RAM and a 650 Watt power supply - branded. Main SSD is a WD 770 1TB), it came with a ver 1601 BIOS. I wish to upgrade its BIOS, currently the latest is "PRIME-B760-PLUS-D4-ASUS-1825".
I downloaded the zip file, extracted the cap file "PRIME-B760-PLUS-D4-ASUS-1825.CAP". copied and pasted to a FAT 32 USB flash drive. Nothing else is on these drives.
Tried three different flash drive (all can be seen in Win 11 on that computer). The drives are a Sandisk cruzer micro 4GB, kingston DT101 32GB and kingston datatraveller G3 64GB.

I followed this video

Non can be seen by the BIOS.

How can I solve this??

Forget youtube videos for a minute

Did you read all the instructions on the ASAS website

That is what I would try to follow to the letter

Sometimes you need to re-name a BIOS update file, I would check the website for any details like that because that youtube video is a year old
Things can change in that time

Is this a pre-built PC?

Can you show us a screenshot of the motherboard tab from CPU-Z?

Did you run the renamer? Asus have a "BIOS update manual" that you can find in the same place.

It is a system I built for my elderly parents. I will take a screen grab from cpu z soon.
Within the zip file there are two files "PRIME-B760-PLUS-D4-ASUS-1825.CAP" and BIOSRenamer.exe.
I cannot find a BIOS update manual.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to all. This video was helpful. Re-naming the BIOS file with the re-namer and then it was recognised in the BIOS. So then the updating went smoothly.
