Bioshock 1 & 2

Good Morning,

I feel pretty bad that I haven't played the Bioshock series yet but we all know how Steam libraries get neglected, at least mine does! Obviously the imminent release of Bioshock: Infinite has prompted my interest but was wondering how the stories relate and whether it's vital I play them.

Looking at Steam you can get both the older titles for £30.00 but I do wish I'd picked them up in one of the sales!

Thoughts?!

To be honest I never understood the appeal of Bioshock, the reviewers went bonkers over it (PCGamer gave it 90% if I recall) but for me the first person mode felt clunky, mouse was unresponsive and I just couldn't get into it. However I did like the Art Deco/Fritz Lang Metropolis art style.

Hmmm, Bioshock is as smooth and as responsive as you can get, not sure what issues you had dude. Bioshock 1 is probs one of the best games ever made in terms of gameplay/graphics and storyline totally loved it.

Really? I think that may have been an issue with your peripherals my friend. Personally I think the story made Bioshock stand out more then any other part of it. That twist... nothing else has ever matched it for me.

It felt a bit clunky to me but never so bad that it was a major problem - the mouse issue if its what I'm thinking of only happened if you moved the mouse too soon after the map loaded - reload and wait until the textures have stabalised before moving the mouse at all and you shouldn't get the unresponsive mouse problem.
