Bioshock - how to get the good ending???

Hi folks,

I'm about to play through this again, except I want to go for the good ending this time, my question is how many of the little girls can I harvest and still get the good ending?

I've tried looking this up but and no one seems to know for sure! some people say none, some say you can still harvest one and get the good ending, others say one or two if it includes the "bonus" i.e extra little girls (whatever that means).

I don't want to play totally safe I want to harvest as many as I can get away with, and still get the good ending

has anyone done this themselves? if so what is your experience?

Bit of a spoiler but if you save all the girls, every 3 you save you get a 'present' that has 200 adam and a couple of other goodies. I didn't harvest any and got the good ending.
 
You get more adam if you save them all. IIRC every third one you save leaves u a present of more adam which pushes the amount of adam received about what you would have got if u harvested them.
 
Impossible. They all suck. Shoulda ended at the *obvious bit* instead they tag on this crappy extra hour or two of "ffs hurry up, I just want the ****ing credits to roll so I can brag to my mates/forum buddies/cyber girlfriend that I've completed Bioshock".

Whats the good ending? I got the one where the little sisters rape the irish guy who turned american and then you unleash the splicers on the world. Is that the good ending or the bad one?
