Ok, so I've had this for close to a year and never bothered playing it. Finally got into it and kicking myself for not playing this much sooner. Anyway. Have a few questions.

I'm playing on the hardest setting, and always always seems to be out of bullets, health packs, Eve or one bullet close to dying. Big daddies, forget about it, I'm roughly halfway in and killed about five, if that. I have to plan each and every room and fight. Tried running and gunning and I'm dead in 10 seconds. I suppose it's a good thing, but I was wondering if everyone struggled through this or am I doing something wrong or just suck at this game. I'm forever trying to save bullets or health packs as it's so valuable. I don't even attempt big daddies unless I've miraculously managed to save about 5 health packs, have 5 barrels in the vacinity that I can throw at him, proximity mines, hand grenades and armor piercing bullets.... and about 1km (game distance) I can kite him. I've just stumbled onto my first 'bouncer big daddy' and I swore he smiled as he ripped me to pieces. Did you guys also find them hard? I managed to save loads of stuff before the developers took the **** and kept throwing splicers at you in that women's (langford?) lab where there is no escape and they're trying to cut through the door to get you out. Wtf was that all about. I got away with no bullets, no health packs or Eve and practically dead. Nice way to start the next stages

Also, I said I'm about halfway in, but am I? As I said above, just saw my first bouncer big daddy in Poseidon Plaza where the spotlight is constantly on you and you have to complete the portret for Cohen. Also just got the bow. How far am I really in? Also, any tips for progressing further? It's slow slow goings and much dying here.

Upgrade the wrench.

Take Photots.

Pretty much it, for big daddies now you have the bow, just put up a few trap bolts and maybe a proximity mine and then just rip with the tommy gun, they will come towards you and kill themselves.

Sounds like you're playing it the 'proper' way :)

There are a few broken aspects of the game that turn the difficulty level right around, but if you've avoided them so far then I'd continue to do so. The game is far more fun that way.

Oh one more thing.

There is a tonic called Natural Camo or something, it makes you invisible when standing still, I think you have to invent it.

It is VERY usefull.

Research is VERY important as it gives you damage increases.

Also use the turrets, security bots and camera's to your advantage, hack a camera, slap a security bullseye on a big daddy and watch his health go down, then do it again (security bulleye does not count as an offensive action)

Or hypnotize one big daddy, find another one, fire one bullet at the other big daddy and watch them fight, one gets killed with the other one weakened and an easy kill.

Also use the wrench as the main weapon for splicers, with Wrench Jockey tonic the damage is incread 350% and with Wrench Jockey 2 another 550%, combined with Sportboost and Wrench lurker means the wrench is actually a good weapon.

No, it is a gift for filling two reasearch bars from the Houdini Splicers you first meet in level 4 Arcadia

If I remember right, there's a bunch of turrets there you should be hacking.

If you just entered that area you are pretty much half way, about 55 - 57% done if you are leaving that area.

Hmm, would that work? Never thought about it.
If you Enrage a Big Daddy it will attack anything it comes across so if there is another Big Daddy there he will attack him.

But I don't think that there are Big Daddies that meet each other without Hypnotizing one of them.

Hmm, just completed Zander Cohen's puzzle/portret and iced him aswell. There is no hints of where to go further and no active quest either. Where do I go from here? Just been running around for 20min wasting ammo really.

Shouldn't have killed him, if you kill him you lose a Power to the People station.

You need to go to the Transport thingy, won't write it because I can't spell it.

I have a Bioshock question.

I am currently playing on medium to get all the trophies and I am about halfway but I also want to try Survivor, can I just start a new game on Survivor and use a different save and go back and forth on the different saves without messing up trophies etc?
