Bioshock small question

After a long time I started playing Bioshock again but I am a bit confused, I can remember having a Fire Plasmid but in my last savegame it is gone and I can't remember what I did, I have the defualt bolt one and a Telekinesis one, can it be that the Telekinesis one replaced the Fire one and if so how can I get the fire one back?

There are vending machines in game that can swap the Plasmids around. Just look out for them.

I re-installed the game yesterday and have been playing this morning

If you want to swap out one plasmid for another you have to visit a gene bank. Don't know how far you are into the game this time but the first gene bank is found in Neptune's Bounty.

I am at the point where I just had the choice of harvesting or not near the Medical Pavillion, is that close?

A little while to go yet to be honest. What probably happened is when you got your new plasmid you were given the choice to swap it with one of your old ones. The game allows you to do this so you can start using new plasmids right away without having to get to a gene bank.

That sounds like it, I thought it was just a case of choosing which one to use but apparently I can only change them at certain points in the game, damn.

Once you get to the Vending Machines (as stated, first one is near the start of the Wharf iirc) you can swap them out as and when, including backtracking as you please. It's not too bad

To be honest, tele and bolt are better than fire anyhow

Firw and elecro bolt for the win ! Set victims on fire, they run to water, then send a bolt into the water - oh what fun!

True...

I just find that telekinises is a better all round power than fire. I guess I'm thinking of the later areas more, where fire begins to lose it's power a bit.

near end of this game .cant wait for my 4850 to compare it against my aging 7900gtx should be awesome like the game.

Rage on Big Daddies was too dangerous. 9 times out of 10 they'd come after you once they were done killing everything else
