bioshock stability

Worked perfect for me on several different PC's with 8800GTX, HD4850 &
HD4870 on both XP & Vista 32 bit DX9 & DX10.

If you have AA enabled you may want to disable that as the game does not support it properly and this has been known to cause issues on some machines.

well an update ,I decided to purchase a dvd hard copy of the game and deleted my downloaded one . It crashed much sooner then before
So I have reset all my overclocks to standard and tried playing at a lower resolution .Its still crashing .......oh dear :(
Maybe I should have tried before downloading the 1.1 patch ,maybe a sytem reinstall but seems a bit extreme .

Perfect here on Vista 64. Not missing much though, it's a pretty boring game after an hour or so.

Played at launch on Vista64 with ZERO issues (obv no Patches).

Its the damn protection that gives issues. so do what others have had to do for many games inc GRID etc and that's use a NO/DVD Patch and it will work. :)

Even n00b Codemasters gave out a Warez groups NO/DVD to get there game stable. ;)

Of course, the no-dvd wasn't available at launch :)

Unless you liked crashing early on in the game.

I bought it from Steam for the hugely inflated price of $60.

The No/DVD was avail before you could even buy it in the stores.

Gamecopyworld however wont host it till the games out legitly as they officially don't support Warez.

Lets get something 100% straight ok.

1) The Warez version was out before the game was for sale, FACT.

2) The NO/DVD is from the Warez version, FACT even though Double Standard sites like Gamecopyworld claim to not support Warez.

You really that naive ?

Are you sure, I'm quite into pirate game releases, but iirc, iso's of Bioshock popped up on release, and the cracks about a week after release.

But then it's been awhile ago, I can't recall... But Bioshock was one of the few exceptions, iirc, they had a few days where pirated versions couldn't be played yet, even if it was under a week.

As sure as I can be as it was long ago but the fact Remains the NO/DVD crack is the Warez Groups not Gamecopyworlds or other so they all have double standards with No Warez policy.

And if using a No/DVD is what it takes to get a game playable so be it. ;)

Fair enough about Bs.
Agree with the rest, I love cracks :), stupid cd/dvd's :(.

That's what I remember. Bioshock was a very unique case though.

Indeed. It's rare for it to happen, but that's what happened with BioShock.

And that's true no matter how many times helmutcheese says FACT in GIANT CAPITAL LETTERS.

I'm not sure why it turned into a double-standards talk about GCW. I don't particularly care either way.
