And theres no confirmed date yet, its scheduled for Quarter 1 2007 though, so not too long

And its going to be DirectX 10 with a patch I beleive?

i really hope this game lives up to its spiritual predecessors (the system shocks).

anyone remember when there was a system shock 2 remake using the doom3 engine? thing got closed down by the publishers of system shock 2

This is the only PC game I'm REALLY looking forward to. No doubt it will be delayed 'till late 2007 but it's gonna be one of the best titles I reckon. I got my X1800XT with this in mind.
& yes, I think it's alittle rude to refer to google - if you don't have any good links or info then leave the thread be, there are few people who won't have tried google - however incompetantly.

As a huge fan of System Shock 2, I am really looking forward to its spiritual successor, Bioshock. I don't know if you have seen the video with the developer commentary but it looks like a really exciting concept and I am sure it will be expertly executed.

It didn't get closed down by SS2's publishers - it was good ol' friendly EA that did the dirty on them :/

It probably would never have been finished anyhow. It's sadly the way most SS2 projects go.

Crysis looks good but it'll be no System Shock 2

(same can probably be said of BioShock..but I'm hopefull...)
