Biostar i45 FF error code

Just tried to install a new cpu and got error code FF but it not in the manual.
Put my other cpu in and cleared the CMOS after it wouldnt post, had to put 1 stick of ram in to get it to start up after getting E1 error code.

Any ideas what the error code FF is or E1?
 
Memory errors. Make sure you're running them at correct settings, MemTest if you do get past POST.

Any issues RMA them.
 
Yes. There should be a list in your manual - though knowing Biostar it'll be well hidden or non-existant.

Plus, you mentioned that you had issues after swapping the CPU's so it I'm going to say it's either faulty memory or their settings are not correct.

Make sure you running the sticks at the right voltage, frequency etc. Disable any overclocking as wel..

EDIT: Just read the above post, it was fine all along?

ok cmos reset installed one stick that def works with e2160

swapped over again and this time it just clicks off immediately
cmos reset and now I get no error atall, it just blanks - all fires up but nothing
swapped ram over got same problem
put e2160 reset cmos with one stick of ram - and working

Duff cpu?
 
OCZ memory will not work after a cmos reset - it will once I set the voltage correctly but need different ram to get into bios!

Still this CPU problem has me foxed, I'm out of paste now but I need a different board to try it in before it goes back.
