Bird-Cam 2011

You should see them later on tonight when they go to sleep for the evening. Mrs Tit spends a great deal of time shuffling around trying to get comfy and keep them all warm!

Chicks are fiesty this morning. Chirping away for mum to come and bring them some tasty caterpillars! I swear if that big chick could wait in the hole for its mother it would!

Sad news about our chicks... Over the last five days all our chicks have died one by one.
Who knows the reason for sure, maybe one of the parents died, maybe the birds didn't time laying their eggs to match the caterpillar season right or something else but that's nature and we have a had a great couple of years before this year. Let hope birdcam 2012 will be more successful :(

Did bird-cam 2012 not happen :(

I have a nest in my loft, in the corner which has been active for a few years now at this time of year.

Can hear the chicks now chirping REALLY loud, must be feeding time.

Obviously, it would be too late to film them now as installing anything would disturb them but I would like to put something in place for 2013.

Could anyone recommend a wireless webcam with nightvision which would be adequate?

Many thanks.

I had some blackbirds nesting in my fir tree for years. Came out this morning to check on it, and it was on the floor, with 1 egg untouched:(

Bloody cats.

How come 'Blue ***' is censored? Is *** really considered that offensive a word, especially in this context? Seems **** Sparrow is also censored too.

Due to our own new arrival in November I never got around to clearing the 2011 nest out which seems to have meant they haven't come this year :(

Sorry for breaking the cycle with missing this year but we'll be back for 2013

Not hijacking but I set up a cam in Feb, and I see our blue **** have hatched this weekend.

It's at work and I've had a VLC stream set up across the network, it's not accessible externally unfortunately.

It's in low-light b&w right now. In the daylight it shows off the colour nicely.

Thanks, I've got a PC set up with it streaming at the moment, although I'm not sure what rights I have on it to stream over the net.

We've had it recording over the weekend as we thought they might hatch, we had to drop the bit rate as it was recording at 1mb a second. I think it's at 1GB an hour now and we'll have captured all of the hatching.

I might try and get a few clips of the moment they hatched onto youtube.
