So I'm eating a few of these things when I start to feel something weird in my mouth!

Turns out this was chilling within one of the dippers...

Needless to say I won't be eating/buying these things again. Should I send a complaint?[/QUOTE]

Are you <16 years old and back in the 90s? Who still eats this junk?

Chop chicken breast > Cover in egg > Cover in bread crumbs / Batter > Fry

100x more tasty and healthier for you.

Guys the cartons are glued not the tabs its a standard practice for products in cartons. When a carton does not form correctly the product is stripped out and put to RP. This is then moved back to the production area were 5% is ground up and added to the chicken breast in the mix. The Rp is kept frozen and 100% edible and it is a way to use it rather than dump it. The Cartons would have been stripped out by the line op and as he is tipping the product in the Rp the tab has fallen of and not been spotted. The Qc in the department covering 4 lines was prob not even close to this thus had no way of spotting it. What I would be concerned about is that it passed through the line op stripping, the guy transporting the Rp and The guy using it on the mixer. Plus yes it is 100% breast going into the product with added water and spice. No pink slime used :D The carton tab is cardboard only the glue is on the front and sides and will not come away when stripping. :D Birds Eye has some of the highest standards in the industry but somtimes things slip through no matter how good the Quality in the department is. Same as any industry,

I was looking at a chicken item in shell earlier, 90% chicken on a chicken stick.

I am amazed the chicken content is 50%

you should write and ask what makes up the other 50%

I bet if you get a chicken nugget and take the batter off what you expect to be 100% chicken breast remaining is still only 50% chicken breast

I bet you think McDonalds don't use real beef or chicken in their burgers either. I don't understand these food conspiracy theories.
