We have now got bird flu in the UK. linkage

Dunno if this is a first, and it is not confirmed as the deadly one yet.
Personally I think the whole thing is a bit overblown but still a bit worrying.

There were a couple of possible cases reported in the news this morning I think, one was in norfolk iirc.

The virus can not spread between humans. In the very unlikely event that it developed that skill, the limited amount of "space" in a virus means that it would be ineffective as a virus itself.

Sorry I just had to get that in. I'm getting sick of this non-story.

did anyone see that programme on channel 4 a few weeks ago about it, when there was an epidemic of some sort of bird flu in the 20's. thousands died

So why do all repotrs I've read say many people will die if the virus mutates to be able to spread amongst humans?
