I took a few shots yesterday of a bird of prey. Have to say that I wasn't sure what else I should be doing in post processing to take advantage of the shots.
I love the last one, typical peregrine falcon lining up a bombing run, I assume he/she was going for the lure?
In terms of processing i'd say that the exposure is about right, you could maybe add a little extra blue to the background with some selective colour balance, maybe bring out the shadow detail in the head a little with selective shadow/highlighting.
You could try photoshopping out the jesses/radio wire/bell but its quite time consuming.
Other than that, great capture of the fastest creature on the planet, I know how fast these guys fly and how much of a pain they are to shoot, so you've done well to get a few nice frames
Thanks for the feedback. I was using a 1D with a 400mm F5.6.
I think I was the biggest problem whilst taking the shots, not easy to keep track of a bird moving that fast.
