Bit confused about ADSL2+ and cable?

Ive done a check and it says my exchange(ADSL2+) will be live from oct09 till march10, the thing im a little confused about is would i say be able to get cable in my area when it becomes active? if not is that then no virgin 50meg for me? :confused:

im just a little thick on the matter

ASDL2+ is just over phone lines, nothing to do with fibre optics for virgin

whoes making it adsl2 BT or some other LLU seller ?

many isp's will offer a service over a bt line, others will install there own equipment in an exchange (LLU providers), many do a bit of both

go to virgin website and check if boradband cables in your postcode

Virgin could offer you an adsl service over the BT phoneline as well once your exchange is up
