Is there any real bennifit in having the 64Bit Ed now?, i am prob not gonna upgrade system until early next year(when i will be buying another copy anyway).
Does/will the 64Bit Ed require more RAM than the 32Bit? I really dont want to buy any more DDR.
I see that drivers are equally available for both Editions but are other software essentials compatable? such as antivirus`s and do most 32Bit apps work?
Im well aware of the driver problems associated with Nvidia and Creative but do the problems differ between the different Bit editions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I am running 64bit Vista and have not had a sinlge problem at all.

I have played, so far, Oblivion, GTR2, City of Heros/Villans, Dark Age of Camelot and the new C&C game.

No problems at all.

It makes sense imo to get 64bit as your hardware is and driver support is getting better.

I use Kaspersky AV, no problems at all, Office 2007, no problems.

In fact, I'm loving it :D

And 2GB is fine and your not limited to less than 4GB should you want to do that as you are with 32bit.

Unless you hit the issue with Vista 64 bit and 4 gb Ram. You may be lucky and not have the issue but many many people do, including myself. I do agree though, 64 bit is the way to go.

What issue is that?

I know a few people who run Vista with more than 4gb ram and not a single problem.

The one which causes Vista to blue screen on boot or similar. Its well documented in the MS forums and an issue they seem aware of. It seems to relate to Memory remapping or "hole" and using 4*1 gb sticks. It could be a BIOS, GPU or Vista issue but no-one is sure and MS are not doing a lot about it. All I can say is there are a lot of people affected.
