Hi all,
apologies if this question is a stupid one.
My home network consists of.....................
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
The router with the internet connection is the DHCP server............ i'm thinking of swapping Switch A for a gigabit enabled one to improve transfer speeds. I'm not entirely too familiar with how a network traffic functions really. Does all my network traffic pass through the DHCP enabled router? Or when transferring a file from PC A to the server PC does the 'traffic' only pass through Switch A?
Can I just get away with swapping 1 switch or must I upgrade the entire network?
Thanks,
Tim
