Without googling GPTing whatever is cool these days answer this in 2 short sentences. ( To the best of your understanding)

From what and how is oil formed and how is it commercially produced/extracted?

A few people might remember I worked in oil gas sector as a logger/geologist for ten odd years and have a geological education.... Anyway... ( Not really a boast big deal, look at me now bad chef/cook surrounded by reindeer)

Over the years I've heard the oddest theories as how oil/gas is formed etc etc and how it's sucked off the sea bed in giant hoses... So.

Over to you.

Plants, mostly. On the whole laid down before the dinosaurs even existed, making the term ‘fossil fuel’ surprisingly redundant.

It's "collected" from under the sea bed in an un-useful form, then refined to different grades until it becomes useful for different things.

Then we pay more for the less refined, more widely available version at the pump.

On a serious note, I also did basic geology during my chemistry degree so know the basics and way too much about the latter stages so I won't bore people.

In west philidelphia born and raised, i spent most of my days, chillin out, maxing, relaxing and collecting oil outside the school.

When a couple of guys said were up to no good, drillin oil in the neighbood


I got in one little fight and the oil companies got scared, and said your moving to your uncle and aunties in iran.

Guess you mean crude oil, afaik dug up from the ground as it's a natural resource , don't know much about what happens after
