Hey folks

Im currently in the market for a 24" LCD screen. I've decided against buying say a 32" LCD TV because, well, space is an issue in my room and to be honest i don't really watch all that much tv, mainly DVD's and media from the harddrive.

Anyhoo, i mainly use my laptop (which is my main computer) for graphic design work and recently working on larger canvas's my 15" laptop screen (XPS 1530) is just not cutting the mustard. So i've mainly been eyeing up the Dell S2409W and the Hyundai N240Wd which are both in my price-range at circa £200. My question is which one is better for me? Now in my eyes the Dell looks like the nicer monitor (abject to opinion) but im willing to forgo a bit of vanity for the better screen :p

I also intend to hook my PS3 upto it and from reading around the forums the monitor will need 'HDCP' support which the Hyundai has, but the Dell does not mention this?

My last question aswel is my laptop being my main computer will it run the screens native resolutions well or am i wasting my time? Im thinking this isn't going to be a problem if im not intending to do any gaming? (I only ever play Eve Online on my PC).

Any help will be muchos appreciated fellas :)

It's a fairly decent laptop from what I can tell so it should support the 1920x1200, but you probably won't be able to use the laptop's screen while using the monitor.

If you're willing to go an extra £30 then I'd definitely recommend the Samsung 2443BW. I've just got one and brilliant. It does have HDCP (doesn't say so on that page but says it on the box). It's also on offer at the minute.

Well if it helps the graphics card that my lappy is using is a 8600GT which i believe is/was quite a high-end card in the mobile side of things.

I've had a look at the Samsung and it does indeed look nice, not sure why i didn't include it in my original choice's actually :D
