Hi all, I am selling my 4850. I won't post why, as it may ruffle a few feathers. Anyway, I want to get a smaller card, and one that is not as powerful.

I have not used it at all, and I now just want a card that will give me Aero in VIsta etc, and look good. I won't be playing games, there not all there cracked up to be on the Pc. Bar Football Manager!

Anyway, What I am asking is if i bought a 256mb card, probably something like a 2600xt , would this suffice at 1650x1080 ? Considering it is only needed for Graphics Work, and no games?

Or will a card this small, affect the general look of my display ?

Thought id ask before i buy!

Sure it would. I dont see why not. It will not affect your display as far as I am aware.

I think though you should try a few more games before you make that decision. I think PC games are very good and you can buy them much cheaper :)

If I had to pick my PC graphics card or my consoles it would be my PC for sure. Maybe you should reconsider as you wont save much money I think and in the future when a game comes out that you like you will be able to play it.

Also you need to give it some time to get used to PC gaming. If your used to controllers, its hard to play with keyboard, but once you learn it, its so much better.

Also what monitor have you got. Maybe that is the reason you did not like the games?

No its not that really.

I have next to no time to play them on the pc. My time consists of Photography, Graphic Design, Internet(Graffiti), Football Manager.

I much prefer my console, every day of the week. For me there is to much going on my pc for me to play a game, thats why I love Football Manager. I can run it with everything else and pick it up and play whenever. With games I get very bored.

Just not for me I guess.

But do you tink it will be ok? I don't want my general computing to get affected, i.e. Aero not working etc/

I am sure general computing wont be affected at all. But if you want wait for someone else here to confirm that for you :)

Leopard? leopard!!! how dare you!

lol. kidding. Good luck mate. I hope "aero" works for you ;)
