i currently have a Asus P5Q mobo (the stanrd one), q6600 @ 3.3Ghz, corsair ddr2 1066 Dominator ram (well 2moro i will have the ram)....

my question is, if i got a 4870x2, would my current system bottleneck it or psu explode cuz of it lol, i have a 500watt psu)??

Crossfire isnt an option due to mobo...

i have a 4850 512mb atm, and i wana throw some money at my pc now, and then not have to worry about it for a while...

A) crossfire is an option, P45's support crossfire
B) what make PSU?
C) No your system wont bottleneck either gfx card set up as 99% of things are still GPU dependant

A - mine has 1 PCI E slot :p not crossfire supported
B - psu = OCZ StealthXStream 500w Silent ATX2 Power Supply
C - cool :D now i need to justify 350+ quid on one lol

thanks for the uber fast reply :D

if i was a get a 700 Stealth / 800 Elite watt OCZ PSU.

My current PSU's cables have been professionally braided etc, would i beable to "swap" the cables i.e. not touch the ones that are already in my case and just "plug" them into the psU?

i.e. it looks tidy and dont want to mess it up :p

( i have no experience with building PC's from scratch so dont laugh at me :P)
