Bit of LG confusion

Howdy,
Been looking over the monitor pages of OcUk and spotted this:

Quoted 10000:1 contrast ration.....yet everywhere else its quoted at 5000:1...is there some gizmo or gadget that fangles this around or am I just confused?

it's a dynamic contrast ratio whichever way you look at it. i believe there were two versions of this screen, depending on country. the original release had a 5000:1 advertised DCR, then a 10,000:1 DCR model appeared. Looks like OcUK are stocking the 10,000:1 model. Tbh, ive never found the DCR control on LG models very good. I did review the L227WT here though which may help you:
