Just had the news that a 16 year old boy has been stabbed to death 2 mins from my house.

I have a 17 year old brother whose out a lot round where it happened. It's easy for people to say "It's just a one off, dont worry", but when it does happen it's all a little too close to home :(

Thats the one.

Brother's panicking a bit as it says there was a bike and crash helmet at the scene. Loads of his mates of that age drive peds nowadays.

Sad news, there was one near me a few years ago near some shops, it's a nice quiet place but a lot of yoofs would hang about a subway they for some reason put there, it's gone now and so have they!

When I lived in soton a women got raped 5 doors up from where I lived, when some guy knocked on her door then forced his way in. And like you say, a little unnerving so close to home. Especially as I lived with two young women at the time. (Random houseshare).

But regarding the stabbing, presumably a chav related thing. Time we introduced legal chav-culling rights tbh.

A teen got stabbed pretty much 10 meters from my place 2 years ago.

And now, according to people on FB, there is a police helicopter flying about looking for a stabbing suspect. Does then 2nd half of the year make people crazy?

lucky you, you've only had one stabbing near you. within a few hundred meters of where i live (when im not at uni) there has been two stabbings and a shooting in the last few years, the shooting happening right outside my old school (the victim even ran into our school looking for help before he eventually died, but the only teacher in at the time was a miserable old git and basically told him to jog on

I've got to say, the whole "it happened 2 mins from my front door" bull**** is a bit tiring. Who cares where it happened? It's horrible either way.

I used to have shootings and bombs and allsorts on my doorstep for years. The location is irrelevant. If it happens 200 miles away, it's still on someone elses doorstep. It's still horrible.

OMG THERE WAS A CAR CRASH 3 MINS DOWN THE ROAD. THAT MEANS I AM GOING TO CRASH MY CAR TOMORROW!!!!!!11111one

Didn't realise this was here,
The boy who was stabbed and has now died was a friend of mine from school. We were not best mates but i spoke to him regularly during football matches etc.
Really sad news :(, especially it happening to someone i knew and last saw only a few weeks ago when we finished school :(
