Bitfenix Light Strip

I have just built a PC and added a Bitfenix light strip for use in the Phanteks Luxe. Nice case and the strip is extremely bright, but the stickyness of the strip is awful. Anyone else come across this? Will have to use something else to keep it stuck down, shocking that really considering the price of those things. :mad:

I have 2 of these, and can confirm the stickiness is indeed pants.. I thought they were releasing magnetic ones at some point.

I pushed mine down really hard they havnt fallen off again.. however I have some 3m vhb tape so I can always use that

I have also used the NZXT light strips which come with sticky pads, theyrnt very bright but ive got them round the inside of the case

Was really surprised they released those strips and they don't even stick properly! Whoever tested and passed them needs shooting.

This, in a built did for someone had these fitted.

Cleaned all the sticky and applied my own 3M tape, have been fine ever since.

I bought the 2.0 version, has a magnetic strip. Much better

I have the standard sticky version and its been fine. In fact, its slightly mis-aligned and won't budge. Its attached to the HDD vertical support wall

Get some double sided mounting tape, Unibond no more nails.

It happens.
I only peeled back the strip a little to work out if I had it in the right place.

Room temperature/whatever its sticking to temperature will have an effect too. My PC is in pretty constant use and the room maintains its temperature too.

The best solution that I used was to buy some 10mm sticky back magnetic strip. Got a 5m roll and stuck both sticky sides together, works a treat and easily removable.

I've heard magnetic strips or sticky Velcro is a good way to go

Yeah we had to use some tape to hold the strip down properly in the end lads. Won't be considering buying them for myself or a customer again in the future unless the reviews improve.
