** BitFenix Prodigy M - The Evolution of a Legend **

Don't like the positioning of the USB ports/power/reset switches. That means cables on the side panel that is the main access point. Surely they could have found room for them on top of the case or under the ext 3.5" bay?

Hopefully they will release a windowed panel for this that fits the itx version to allow a window both sides.

This and I'm sold :) after I find out what the PSU allowance is :p they have a while to get the rest of the products out. I'm pretty sure that the panels are the same on this one and the normal Prodigy so I don't see why they wouldn't release one as it should be cross compatible (i think)

So um yeah it looks as if I'm migrating to a prodigy case now... well done ocuk you've just got yourself even more of my money, as ill have to buy an matx z77 mobo as well... and some more memory, just because :D

That`s the first thing I noticed, not a very good design. Should have made that bit, a part of the case and the side panel smaller.

max psu length is 16 cm with two vga cards or a long vga card in slot one.

obviously, smaller vga cards mean bigger psu sizes

Thanks for the info :) might have to downgrade my power supply to a smaller unit then! ETA on these? I saw October on kitguru I think but I'd prefer it from the horse's mouth (as it were)

Always was a great looking case, ITX put me off of the Prodigy on my recent build. I think I would probably have gone for this if it was available.
Good value case so may well try swapping my parts to one anyway.

Ahh I would love to get this but it would require a new PSU, new mobo and a new cooler :( makes me sad.

Looks awesome though I may have to do a build in it at some stage

Looks to me that the hot air exhausted from the PSU will get reingested by the bottom mounted fans.

Edit: Just watched video and saw that their solution is to blank off the bottom fan intakes - ugly solution.

Could be amended by partially enclosing the base stand to duct the extruded hot air through the gap at the front between the chassis and stand, and still have a bottom fan intake.

But can't help but think that having the PSU exhaust from the top rather than the bottom would have been better - cool air being drawn from the rear and bottom and expelled from the top/front mounted PSU.

Also dump the 5.25" bay (external USB-powered optical drives are excellent, especially if you also have an ultrabook, and reasonably priced) and have proper front-mounted IO.

Are the stands/handles still flexible plastic?

Nice looking case! Wonder if you guys at OCUK are going to do a LAN gaming system with this case. Hint Hint :P

How stupid for miss reading.

(Be prepared to see OcUK pre built system ranges really taking advantage of what the Prodigy M has to offer)
