BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Cube Case

Probably. Although it sounded like he got the cpu and cooler for 40.

Nononono, just the cooler :p the i5 was £159 from OC about 8 months ago :D I was just highlighting the fact that an 'average' cooler keeps it at that temp.

Has anyone got plans to mod these cases yet? Any side-windows on the agenda? Re-located graphics cards using extenders? Custom watercooling loops? re-spraying?

ahh, looks like risky business... So the aim of the game is to remove the top of the cpu and replace the thermal compound underneath? I wasnt even aware there was thermal compound underneath :p

So if you did that AND lapped the CPU you could potentially drop temps by a vast ammount... Hmm... interesting :p

Perhaps i will try it in the future when if something goes wrong it wont matter as much money wise (still studying at the moment)

Hey

I put this a thread of mine but i thought i would put it here too.

Quick question, if i wanted to use the Antec 920 instead of the H100 would a 230 intake and the 120mm exhale through the 920 be ok for temps in the Proigy?

Cheers :)

In my opinion yes, but i think i would have the 920 in a push pull configuration (intake) and then have the other RAD as the exhaust... But it depends on whether you value your CPU or GPU temps more as to which way you go.

Can you really only fit 1 top fan in if you have something in the drive bay..? That seems like quite an obvious design flaw. If the case was a 1/2" taller you could fit a fan and a disk drive in and just have the fan overlapping the drive a little.

We need wireless wires! I'm sure it will be a reality in a few years...
It already is for many things.

I can see that being fun for you Allnamestaken :D though if you do the loop minus the graphics card, then put the card in and attach the tubes to the side, it shouldn't be too bad... :p
Less room for piping and pumps/res' etc in the front drive bay area though...

is there room for a mechanical drive in front of the PSU? (in the gap between the psu and the side panel)

My Prodigy had all broken handles, the screw tabs was crushed and snapped off :( I finished the build and it's cooler than my Antec1200 which was 42 Idle and this is 22 Idle! I need a carry case or something now, what's a good case/bag for Prodigy?

Dude, send it back!

Can't believe you swapped out your prodigy already Monkeyspaz5000 xD It must have been a right pain to build a watercooled system in there, then you buy a new case haha ;)
