Bitlocker

Hello

I have two USB sticks with Bitlocker Encryption on them. I have both the passwords, but because my samsung galaxy tab s2 doesn't recognise bitlocker, I am trying to find a way of removing the Bitlocker all together. I am currently using a windows home premium pc and this software is not on there. I am at a loss as to what to do now? Any ideas?

I am not too sure if there is any better ways but could you install Windows 10 pro or 11 pro on a blank\spare SSD\HDD and then disable\remove bitlocker from the USB sticks?

Or another option is to setup a virtual machine with either of the OS's on.

You can install the OS un activated

Unless you know someone that has a PC with bitlocker abilities

Can you not just copy the data off. Reformat the drives, then copy the data back on to them.

I would create a VM, then use Kali Linux Dislocker which can read the bitlocker partition to remove it.

Windows Home can read bit locker drives just not create them no?

If format is not available (im not 100% with the nuisance of win home)
use disk management/computer management (right click the start menu) to delete and re-create the partition. having copied anything you need from it first!

OP is using Windows Home edition. Is the option to manage bitlocker available?

Win 10 home doesn't come with bitlocker as standard.

Comes with pro versions and above, home does not have any bitlocker and its not available

windows 11 home can read bitlocker drives as windows 11 is menat to be bitlocked by default
