I know they are notoriously inaccurate but can anyone explain this?

My router stats are as follows

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7614 kbps 1321 kbps
Line Attenuation 40.0 db 21.2 db
Noise Margin 6.8 db 6.8 db

Using the above i get.

Download Speed: 20122 kbps (2515.3 KB/sec ) Upload Speed: 10468 kbps (1308.5 KB/sec ) :D

It should be a 30Mb leased line LOL

You will find that traffic has an impact. I've tested our 1MB leased lines and they only come out at 750k at the best of times due to other traffic that the router brands as higher priority than the speed test.

i find no speed tests are any good for me the only method that does work is using newsgroups, in which i max my line out.

hate my speeds lucky to get 2mb cos im miles from the exchange, roll on fibre, can get virgin but had it for a while and they were expensive and retarded at best

I find every speedtest inaccurate.

My line is syncing at 8128 with a 7150 IP profile, now check this result out;
