Bkack screen on boot with new 280x?

Hi I bought a his 280x from the forum and have installed it with 2x pin power conectors, via my corsair 850w.

Every time I try and boot I just get a black screen with no picture, fans are spinning on the card and seems all ok... can boot via hdmi from my motherboards socket, providing I unplug power from the 280x

Just cant get it to boot.

Motheeboard is a msi z87 gaming board.

Any ideas?

Is the boards BIOS up to date.

Try different outputs on the card.

sounds like bios probleme, as above check if bios is up to date

Have you disabled the onboard video / set it to use PCI-E as default in the bios?
