Somewhere in the middle.
I just started watching the first series of Black books, watched 3 episodes and its so damn good.

I saw this briefly on channel 4, but for some reason i was a fool and thought it looked crap. I dont think i spotted the fact that it was Dylan Moran and Bailey at the time.

Dunno if anyone is a fan but i recommend it highly now :-D

Tis the greatest thing of all time.
(subject to status and excluding all better things)

It's currently on the Virgin on demand thingy for anyone who's not seen it.

I highly recommend it! throughout the 3 series it is hilariously funny and worth a buy or watch. :D :D :D :D :D 5 smiles !

When it first aired I had one mate who loved it. A few years later, I decided to watch it and absolutely loved it. Awesome show.

I can't find it on the Virgin on Demand service, are you talking about V Central

Press TV on demand, if u are on telewest like me originally.

its called Teleport TV still, just select A-Z or Comedy section and scroll down

Ok my GF Made me turn it off cos she would rather lie in bed and watch police shows with me, lol.

Im gonna have a Black book Marathon tomorrow and watch the last episodes available.

Highlights so far have to be the old wine drinking and the "im not a real cop, ive just had too much coffee!"

I've seen a few episodes. Pretty funny. Something I'll try to watch more of if I can borrow the set off a mate (don't think I know anyone with it).

I just watched both series of Spaced. That was excellent, and I recommend it to anybody ;) :D Highly funny.

is this the 'comedy' show with the really depressed irish guy (dylan moran???) in the book shop?

I never got into it at all, and a year or two ago i was dragged off to see him live. I nearly slit my wrists half way through the show just for some excitement. He comes on stage pretending to be drunk and just spouting **** left right and centre.

nah I went round their houses and forced em to watch it
I hear some guy in africa missed the repeat, maybe you could do him?

The very first series of Black Books made very cult viewing because so many people overlooked it.
However if I remember correctly it has much of the same team behind it as Father Ted - so why it was ignored first time around I'll never know.
It wasn't until the second series people began to notice it and then there was the rush for people to see the missed first series.
So by the time series 3 was announced there were a lot of people waiting for it.

I watched it from the beginning the first time around and thouight at the time it was one of the best things on television at the time.

Last year I got the opportunity to see Dylan Moran live here in Cambridge and he was excellent.
His "stories" kind of have a novel approach which makes them really funny, and then he'll hit you with some quick gags before going into some rant about something, before returning to the story he was half-way through telling.
Excellent night out that one - plenty of laughing from the audience.
