Am I missing something in this game? I heard it was about mindless carnage (always a good thing), almost unending ammo, and a little cover. Instead what I found was a game where u find some good cover pick off some people, not firing constantly (otherwise you're out of ammo quickly), move on to next cover, repeat. No mindless shooting, no strafing, just cover & firing. Serious Sam is fits the description of Black far more than Black does. As it stands, it seems like a rather mind-numbing game as opposed to good harmless carnage.

Am I missing something?

I read a review somewhere today that said the demo was not a typical level. Is it in a forest?

Demo is in a town, you have to meet up with some guys who are next to what looks like a town hall. You start with a shotgun that is absolutely useless, so you need to pick up an AK47 asap (which u do fairly quickly, but there's very little ammo for it, fortunately everyone carries an AK so u can pick up a clip from each dead guy).
