Has anyone come across a 'good' deal this year? I have been looking at a slow cooker and so far it hasn't reached discounted prices from about a month ago.

You are correct. It's rare that the black Friday deals have any better prices available than at certain points earlier in the year.

Got a good deal on a Dell laptop.
Bit early to pass judgement on this yet, we are not at BF yet.
Generally speaking the majority of 'deals' these days are nothing special compared to standard deals that come and go. It's just an excuse for retailers to slap "BLACK FRIDAY DEAL" on stuff and sell it for standard deal prices. It's been this way for several years, nothing new this year. Back in 2015 and prior it was decent, got a 5* Soho hotel for £10.

My question was not about deals but how effective Black Friday is. I do not want my post to be lost in a horde if irrelevant offer links.
I didn't see any offers on some the main things i wanted :(
Brown & red Zugu cases for my 11 & 12.9 ipads

Or any good offers on the 11" magic keyboards :(

eBay stole the show with their voucher, people grabbed 5900X's like vultures for £405 from well known retailers who have eBay shops, no contest. Add to that the nectar bonus and x5 on them as well.

Your literal OP was this:

Has anyone come across a 'good' deal this year? I have been looking at a slow cooker and so far it hasn't reached discounted prices from about a month ago.

And the thread linked to is literally just that, a thread full of links of good deals people have came across

Mods must condemn
