Black Kids

clever name really, gets a reaction and people notice it, even though there are no racial connotations at all attached to it

taking advantage of paranoia surrounding racism, genius

the music isn't my taste generally, but they're ok as indie-pop goes
 
My Mum said there is some new band called "Black Tie" and I would probably like it because "it has the guitar things I like". That would be rifts mum lol.

But I can't find anything apart from a Jazz band. So maybe it's Black Keys.
 
just thought id add they are on at middlesborough music live in anyone wasnt aware, stumbled across the lineup other day, might actually be worth popping along to for a bit ... or not.

Well I found out who the band my mum was on about. Black Tide. Some metal band where they are about 17 and all look like girls.
 
Oh wow ive actually already heard their most popular song.

Definitley check out the 'spinto band' too, their great and an inbetween of arcade fire and this. :).
 
I listen to them and I hear The Cure. In fact I hear The Cure so much I had to check Robert Smith wasn't involved.

Catchy though. I quite like it.

First time I heard one of their songs on the radio, I thought it was a Cure track. His voice is eerily like Robert Smiths.
 
Right sobered up now - Support band were good need to find out who they were to be honest.

While watching them I turn to the left of me and the main singer Reggie was standing next to me with the rest of the band!

Cracking band and great live! Good to meet as well.
