Black Mesa 1.0 coming to Steam March 5th!

Just completed it!

The end was bloody fantastic!, going up that big lift, and then having to do the big Mekon head, Nihilanth :D

What a ******* game!
+1, just finished myself. It dragged on a little near the end but a very fun game overall. Half Life has aged so well.

Was really enjoying it but got to a game breaking bug which requires fannying about in the dev console to try and blag through.

Its basically a HD pack for a 20+ year old game - £15 is a joke.
When did you become the price police? Narcisist.

Here's a clue. If you don't want it, don't buy it. The fact that you you are crying like a baby over the price suggests you want it but can't unclench.

Which is your problem.

I was only going to play it from Xen onward after playing it in 2012 but then decided to hold of on a few updates and play it again as its been so long.:)

I didn't play much last time round as been waiting for this

Will easily see me through to Cyberpunk.

Started another run through, and found my first change, the air shaft has moved in the big lift room, the one you go down at the beginning, with the headcrabs raining down :D

Big lift you go up to where the planes going around, thats changed, and Power Ups changed also, took me a bit of time to find the new way in, and the soldiers are well solid now, they must have been beefed up as well  :D

Been looking for a reason to go through Half-Life again. It was the first PC game I played. I was blown away by the experience on the Voodoo Banshee accelerated graphics and Aureal A3D sound card. Seeing as it's currently half price on Steam, I'll give it a go.

Black Mesa is great, played through it again once the Xen was added.

They definately improved Xen from the original but while technically impressive it went on too long. My only negative on Black Mesa single player.

Wish the multiplayer was more popular, the original HLDM was my fav back in the day.

Rocket part changed as well :D

Its a helluva game, only part i didn't like, was the stupid like Mario Dash bit near the end, where you just have to run up, hopefully though, they'll have made a change to that too. :p

Well worth the £15 i paid at the time.

Will give it a go at some point I remember playing it years ago when they first started.

Tbh I went through half-life from 1 to 2:ep2 including all the side games Opposing forces and Blue shift only last year, so will give it a while

Anyone know the Hlaf Life will get RTX treatment? I hear it's first on the list of games to officially support it (after Quake II and Minecraft)

Finally got around to playing this after picking it up in a sale - my goodness they have improved Xen so much. I really enjoyed my playthrough and it's scratched the HL itch for a while.
