Hey folks,

I am looking to mod my pc by adding some black mesh sections to help exhaust some heat. Searching for some case modding supplies it seems that the ac ryan meshx stuff is the only stuff you can get and the black version is out of stock in every store I look in. I could get silver and then spray it but would rather not have the hassle (I'd want to spray it outside and the weather isn't exactly the best at the moment).

Can you buy fine mesh like the ac ryan stuff in DIY stores? I tried to look on the websites but the only mesh it came up with was fencing. I'm sire it'd be cheaper than the pre cut case modding versions.

I did have a look around, I am after something in a black metalic really as it's to go in the front of a black lian li case.
 
I'm looking to! AC ryan do a nice few styles but getting it is really hard always out of stock :mad:

I've looked in b&q etc but no luck! you could try car modding sites though, they are very partial to a bit of mesh!

I've not found anything I like on them as yet, but if you do find something please do share:D
 
I recommend the ACRyan HEXX mesh stuff - very nice looking and unrestrictive for airflow. Couldn't you just get the silver stuff, spray it black and then leave it to dry in the garage?
 
I have a sheet of the AC Ryan MeshxPanel HEXX (ACR-XP00618) in black aluminium lying unused beside me. Bought it ages ago for a project that I never got around to. The box has been opened, but the sheet is unused.

I guess I should sell it on, but it's likely to cost £3-4 to post. I suppose if someone was willing to spend a tenner plus postage, then I would let it go, but for any less I might as well hold onto it.

Agreed though, these are like hen's teeth! :D
 
I found some mesh on a kustom pc site, it wasn't the ac Ryan stuff but it was black. The holes are quite large but I can double up the mesh if I need to.

I saw on another forum someone used black mesh bins from a local hardware or office store which seemed to work quite well. Just a thought as they are usually really cheap.
 
damn how do you /can you pm on this forum am i being that stupid lol ?
