black mirror

I think it was the weakest of the three but I still enjoyed it.

Made me think about all these Internet crazes and movements like Kony 2012 and Anonymous. Whilst there may be some intentional merit in such organisations it's also amazing how many people 'follow' them without knowing what they are actually about or care to support the cause long term. More often than not until the next 'in the know' campaign becomes in vogue to follow so you can show all your friends and family how world savvy you are and how you relish such intellectual debate.

There was a part in the episode where the Tory candidate said something along the lines of "Maybe the system is broken" but then goes on to say "But it built these roads". That hit a note with me, that despite the messed up puppet show that is our political system it does tend to get things done. It is easy to critise such systems (I'm looking at you, Waldo) but neigh on impossible to make any changes to it as we see at the end of the episode where society is portrayed as being much worse.

I didn't enjoy episode 3, thought it was pants.
Episode 1 was fairly boring as well, I didn't feel that it had a strong point like the others.

Number 2 was my personal favourite, as it was very depraved but also had a really interesting point

Only watched ep2 of series 2 so far but if this is the best one then I'm disappointed. I'd rank this behind eps 2 and 3 of series 1.

It was dark and efficient, but ultimately not all that surprising.

right, now to ep 1...

I think that ep 1 was much, much better. I felt this one and it seemed believable throughout. It was better for not having a big twist at the end.

This. Genuinely thought that episode 1 was very tightly written. The concept seemed the most realistic, and depressing, of the three.

1 > 2 > 3 this season for me. Really didn't like the last episode. Disappointed me considering season 1's finale 'Entire History of You'

running order for me so far. 1.3 > > 1.2 > 2.1 > 2.2 > 1.1 > > > > > > > 2.3

Entire History Of You was just perfection, one of the best pieces of television to come from Britain and Toby Kebbell was fantastic, right down to the striking red socks.

Christina Chong in Waldo...

I've fallen in love

Also, I'm disappointed that below wasn't the real ep2, that would have been much better

Altho there are weaker eppy's...I think this is an awesome series. So well produced. Love them all tbh.

I have to agree, the story lines for each episode are going to be subjectively rated, but overall the concepts and delivery is very good, and something you wouldn't see over in the states.

I dno with Utopia being aired, its reminded me how shallow BM can be in its format, while inferring depth by allowing the viewer to guess where it would have been. Its not far off the idea:

Concept
Characters
???
Profit (i.e. Bleak Future)

On that note if theres a 3rd series I hope they make each episode longer (or split over 2) to at least delve further/longer into the concept.

ps3ud0

That Christmas special of Black Mirror was spectacular.

I mean seriously, talk about masterful writing. Charlie Brooker incorporated the very best of the entire show, even providing excellent segmented stories then wrapped it up into one fluid story and what a hell of a story. Bravo sir.
