I know many PC gamers will not be looking forward to the next installment of the CoD series by Treyarch. But for those that are i thought it would be worth mentioning this....

Ranked dedicated servers, adjustable FoV and lean have all been confirmed by PCDev on twitter. It has turned this game from a "meh not again" to a "hmmm im actually looking forward to this".

As long as this game has definate support for Esports then im all for it.

Doesn't matter until mod support is confirmed which I'm doubting they'll allow.

No PAM? No Promod? FAIL.

I do think mod support will be released...eventually.

Think about it, Treyarch seem to have won over the PC fanbase were as IW have basically kicked us into touch. Black ops had mod support although it was limited and W@W had mod support, it would be criminal not to give us mod support for Black ops 2. I do agree though that without mod tools and PAM/PROMOD Black ops 2 won't make a very good Esports game.

There has been no esports in cod since the original modern warfare. regardless of if mod tools get released. Any self respecting competitive team wont go near blops 2.

There has been they just haven't been as popular as CoD4 was. In fact ESL are still holding tournaments and ladders for MW3, just isnt many UK teams.

http://www.esl.eu/eu/mw3/sd/5on5/ladder/

Even Fnatic played it at some point along with Dignitas and a few other well known teams. I know cause i played them ;)

Blops 2 holds hope because so far it is looking good for PC competitive play. Mod tools will not be spoke of until post release but i wouldn't bet my house against them not being in the pipeline...

Confirmed...
Dedicated servers (hopefully from GSP of choice)
adjustable FoV
Lean

Not confirmed...
Editable configs (max fps, and other editable Cvars, cant see this happening but it isnt a must)
Punkbuster (VAC sucks)
Mod tools (probably post release)

Pro teams play tournaments/LANs for cash, they aren't interested in if it has a huge fanbase or not. If LANs get hosted for BLOPS 2 then the fanbase will increase.

gotta give em credit for allowing lean adjustable FOV, dedicated servers etc.

course it should be compulsory for a PC game but at least they show some consideration for what is ultimately a small portion of their market

My little drone cousin will get it so I may, at best, play through the campaign once that way for some laughs/facepalms. Beyond that, no thanks..

Still don't know why anyone would buy another Treyarch game after the original Black Ops launch fiasco...

Now it's fixed though it's much better than MW2 and MW3 multiplayers, Treyarch have done a much better job of recapturing the feel of CoD4 than IW ever did.

thats very true

i played lots of cod4 back in the day skipped mw2 as the dedi server rubbish, skiped mw3 aswell and now will skip this ;)

This might be my first CoD game on P.C

I know it will be rubbish but that won't stop me buying it. Most of the guys I play MW2 / MW3 with on xbox won't get it so may give it a go on P.C.

Is it fixed? last time I played it was still having a lot of the original issues they'd just slapped some haphazard fixes in to try and mask them and the guns still felt/sounded weak compared to CoD4.
