Black OPS free weekend

hmm I would have tried this. Got it for the PS3 but haven't played it for months due to the combination of poor fps/con nections and then my PS3 stopping reading discs, however I am away until saturday evening. When does it end? Sunday or Monday? Not gonna d/l 8 gig for 24 hours!
 
Does the free weekend give access to the two maps packs? I really hope not because that will be the only refuge from the deluge of hackers who create a new steam account, download the free copy and put their favourite cheats on for a weekend of '**** as many people off as possible because I don't give a !%$: if you ban me from a free game'

the games not bad but there cab be problems. if you can play it without the problems some whine about its not bad game.

bfbc2 has more problems than this game but cods a cool to hate game :p

its not as good as cod 4 but better than mw2
 
Why are people complaining no SP? CoD games take about 4hours to complete on average, everyone would complete it over the weekend for free :p

Fair enough not buying it on release (or ever for that matter), but refusing to dl for free on principle is quite frankly, pretty childish.

After MW2 I said I would never play a COD game again. And I haven't. Even if it was given to me as a gift I wouldn't play it. Just because I have principles that I am prepared to stick by makes me childish. :rolleyes:

I was expressing my opinion and I respect that you were expressing yours. But calling me childish is, well, childish. See, two can play at that game ;)

Its not laggy like you said
the match making is easier with friends
didnt notice a difference in the FOV tbh looks the same
better maps
better guns
better killstreaks
better perks

This is just my view on it. Personally i cant wait for 3

I admire your constant backing of this franchise.
 
Won't be downloading this for the free weekend.

The full game is still a frankly ridiculous £40 on Steam and you'd need to add another £21 to that for the DLC maps you are looking at a fair amount of money for what sounds like is a bit of a pants game.

If you are going to try the free weekend then you kind of have to be prepared to stump up the cash for the full game and DLC.

Theres never a problem getting a game without the dlc. more players dont have it then actually have it. slightly misleading

im just a gamer who like to play games ;) at end of day it brings a bit of fun to me personally so i buy it and play it.

i realized long ago i was never going to get cod 1 or uo again so should i stop playing all games till one of these oldskool type fps shooters comes back ?

they aint ever coming back ! thats why i just get on with it and game :)

Correct I dunno why everyone is moaning its free, You are not obliged to buy it after the trial and you do not have to download it. Call of Duty gets hated because younger people play it even though just as much play Battlefield.
 
On the subject of MW2, i should try it again, I now have an 38Mb down/9Mb Up with FTTC, wonder how much better it would make it ping wise...
