black screen

yes use realtemp and set it up to read ati gpu,it will monitor cpu core temps and gpu core

I think the card craps out if it reaches the thermal limit,so you raise it by 20% and its ok

don't think it affects temps too much, your temps are fine most ive seen my 7850 go is 70-75c and that's overclocked with voltage

Ok I have monitored both CPU and gpu and the log stopped 10mins after starting the game which I think is when I got the black screen. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the temp. I have also moved the power control to 20% and it still black screened. I originaly had a pirated version of this game to try it out and it worked perfect but then I bought the steam version in the sale and its the steam version that is having the issue. Do you think there maybe a problem with the steam game?

Ok I have just downloaded trixx and I presume vddc is the voltage. Now when you say bump it up a notch or 2 what do you mean? My voltage( vddc ) is currently set at 1138. If I press the plus button it goes up by 1 (1139). So what do you reckon I should set it to to start with?

It normally goes up in notches of 6. So one bump would take it from 1138-1144. You see it round up to the nearest 6 when you click apply.

Just a little update. I have bumped the voltage upto 1144. So have been playing the game for 15mins so far with no black screen. Fingers crossed. What is the highest temp I should allow my gpu to reach?
The game still runs like **** tho as its a really really bad port. But I can live with the crappy frame rate and draw distance as long as it doesn't keep crashing.

Nah I don't think I have VRAM option as the bottom one is fan control. The only voltage option I have us vddc.

Ah ok well not much you can do then but try to bump vcore or lower your memory clock. If it does it at stock it looks like you might have dodgy vram. A stripey line hang indicates unstable vram.

Tbh I probably do have a bit of a dodgy card as I tried to overclock it ages ago and it wouldn't even over clock by like 5mhz not matter how high I set the vcore.
But on a better note. I have uped my vcore upto 1150 and I have managed to play the game for about 1hr 1/2 without any problems. So hopefully that sorted. Strange how this problem has only occurred on the game that pushes my hardware the least lol.
Thank you all for the help.

I had a look and my card isn't even being pushed 100%. It is using the max clock speed but on using between 40 - 50% is this normal. And if so the why would I need more volts if its not being pushed fully?
