You could always get a cheap heat gun.

Yeah, gas hob will work fine

The parts that are patchy at the top and the spot in the middle are casued by silver solder

Can you do a quick guide for this? Might give it a go as I tried spraying some last night and the paint comes right off. I didn't give it an hour between coats though so I'll have another go at the weekend.

I find it absolutely amazing that you can't buy any.

Did you clean the screws before painting?

Hell even baby wipes can clean pretty good.

Any grease from fingers or other things, might stop the paint from bonding properly.

Morning Al,

No I didn't mate. Just quicky gave them a test spray. They were sealed though and haven't been used. I'll give it an hour between coats though like you suggested. £7.49 down the drain otherwise...

at least it works with bolts, so don't see why it wouldn't work.

Maybe try some Hammerite metal paint? Worked fine for my garden gate...

Just goggle black computer screws. Or find the size, I imagine there all Mx then google that and find a screw shop.
