Just read this on the BBC website. More 'proof' that tea is good for you. This sounds like something i need at the moment.

The thing is i've never even heard of Black Tea. I've heard of Green Tea but not black. Do they sell this in the local supermarket?

.. or just chew the tea bag for maximum effect, saves energy on boiling the kettle etc..

I had some this morning. It's really popular in Germany. I just ask for "schwarzer Tee" - I really like it.

Still can't beat a good ol' brew though

A friend just bought some bed sheets from the White Cotton Company... ooooooooo :)

That's alright just let me wash them a few times and they will be truly multicultural!

Normal builder's tea like PG Tips etc is black tea AFAIK. As is Earl Grey and a couple of others.

all normal tea is black tea - its fermented

green tea is not fermented.

i also drink oolong tea, which is half-fermented (the best of both worlds!)

Spot on, black tea is your standard pg tips / typhoo / tesco value. I think the point of the news story you heard was previously only green tea was thought of as having health giving properties - while in reality plain old black tea is pretty good for you too.
