Hi folks,

I have a blackberry 8310 which seems to have a problem running javascript.

If I go to the heathrow website and go to Live Arrivals I am prompted to enable javascript which I click ok on.

It looks like it requests the data fine, but when it comes to running the script it gets stuck about 35-40% of the way and all I get is an egg timer flashing up on the display every few seconds.

I have done the following -

- Gone into browser properties and enabled javascript and allowed java pop ups

- Gone into general configuration and allowed java and javascript in there

- Turned off and on again

- Gone to java.com via the device and the same problem occurs here where it tries to run the script but gets stuck here at about 75%

- Turned on support for HTML tables

Any ideas?

Only thing I could think of is that you are running the old 4.2OS still as that has a much older version of java. Two suggestions, first try opera mini, second, update to the new 4.5OS, there may not be an official version released for your provider as yet but you can get any providers version working on any bb. Just look on any blackberry forum and I can pretty much guarantee you will find a guide on what to do.

Cheers for that mavity. Ive downloaded the 4.5 OS but I need to know if I should run this on the BES or just the handheld.

Common sense would say do this on the BES so that the update is deployed to all users but then its only the 1 user who is experiencing the issue.
