ok, i'm coming up for an upgrade with tmobile, and one of the phones that interests me is the 8900 Curve,

my question is....

how well does it work with a mac and the .mac (now MobileMe) package...? (What I hear you say? why not buy an IPhone??)

The reason I ask is that i've got a perfectly good working ipod, and prefer keep them seperate, less hassle and grief if one goes wrong :) .

I'm on the flext package at the moment, but i get a loyalty bonus and web purchase discount too, so can come onto the combi package quite cheaply, so getting the curve is quite tempting, providing email works well with it, and it won't stuff up my .mac account

From what i have read over at www.crackberry.com. The BB's dont work too well with macs..synching can be a pain at times but there are ways around to get it working.

Not sure if .mac is supported by BB.

For a more better answer i suggest you head over to crackberry and ask in the forum.

I sometimes wonder if Spawn is on commission from Blackberry, I doubt there is a Blackberry thread in this forum he hasn't posted in :p

That is a cracking forum btw, loads and loads of info on there about the Blackberry

:D...if only i was on commission lol...i just love the BB's and the way they do things...im always finding out new things on my BB so i like to help out where i can if possible.

which BB have you got spawn?

i'm wary of the storm, as the better half had one for a bit, and the screen is horrible....

curve or bold?

i've got a mac and a blackberry 8900. they do NOT work well together. i never do any of this synching business tho so it doesnt both me.

The Bold mate, ive had the 8900 curve which is a great phone but lacks the 3G that i need. Super fast and stable...one of the best phones...actually scratch that its the best phone ive ever used and had....ive had a lot of smartphones over the yrs, symbian, winmo amongst them and the BB kicks them all into touch imho...

Im waiting on the new Bold replacement...3G, touchscreen with a QWERTY keyboard...should be out later this yr or hopefully next yr and from the specs it sounds pretty awesome. Although im tempted by the new Onyx which should be out end of the yr...another Bold like phone but with a trackpad...smaller and lighter from the pics i have seen and read about it.

I had the Storm but sent it back after a week as i couldnt get on with it...the click screen is neat but doesnt work very well and software on the phone is buggy...saying that there is a new Storm 2 also on its way out..supposedly better and without the dreaded click screen...similar to the iphone screen from what i have been hearing and reading.
